It’s finally February, and we’re coming closer to spring—just very slowly. January felt like the longest month ever (or is that just me?), probably because it’s my least favorite. But the upside is that cold, grey days mean even more time for deep dives on Pinterest and new discoveries.

On that note, I recently came across the AI tool called Mymind, and I highly recommend it to anyone who, like me, hoards screenshots and does endless research. It’s like a smarter, more intuitive version of Pinterest—saving your images, links, and articles while automatically tagging them so you can easily find them later. I’m currently using the free version, and it’s SO much fun. Here’s an example of what happens when I search for “fur” in my saved images…

But back to today’s topic - maybe it’s the influence of my recent trip to Paris, but I’m completely obsessed with Neo Art Deco interiors right now. So, I thought I’d share some of my current favorites with you!

When I came across The Socialite Family home story featuring Emane de Malleray and Vincent Viard, it perfectly captured how this style translates into a real apartment. It’s all about contrasts - sleek meets sculptural, vintage blends with modern, and rich textures play against airy elements.

I love the mix of nostalgic and contemporary: metal grids with dark wood, heavy jacquard patterns with light rice paper, sculptural forms with clean stone. It’s about balancing these elements to create a warm, individual space - sometimes even by pairing pieces that don’t seem like an obvious match.

Side tables I saved & totally see as statement pieces here: darker wood or burl wood, Art Deco shapes, sometimes combined with stone or glass.

I also see chainmail objects fitting perfectly into this direction—and I have a feeling we’ll be seeing more of them in the future. They add texture, movement, and a hint of edginess. I adore the work of Wretched Flowers - their lamp feels like a statement piece of jewelry for the home.

Sculptural vases would also be a perfect addition - especially those that showcase exceptional craftsmanship. I’ve picked three ceramic pieces that truly stand out, not just for their form but for the skill and detail behind them. They add an artistic layer to any space, making them more than just decor but statement pieces in their own right.

Animal patterns are still making a bold comeback in fashion and interiors, with tiger, leopard, and zebra prints gaining traction. While they might seem like an unexpected match for Neo Art Deco, these patterns can actually complement the style when combining them with luxe materials and rich textures. Paired with fringes or sleek metallics, they add a bit of drama and visual interest, acting as unexpected focal points in a room.

Even though I’m not usually a fan of traditional flower motifs, these abstract floral elements really caught my eye. For me, they add just the right amount of romantic (perhaps French?) charm without being too much. They bring a bit of softness and fluidity into the bolder and geometric lines of Neo Art Deco, making them a perfect contrast without disturbing the overall mood.

The spiral is definitely an essential element for this direction. Whether it’s in a metal chair, a beautiful piece of pottery, or even in the details of the room’s architecture, it adds a sense of flow. It’s such a timeless shape, and it works perfectly with other elements of Neo Art Deco - it also gives everything a bit of softness and elegance without overdoing it.

Lately, I’ve been noticing a lot of soft netting, and I think it’s a really interesting option for bringing texture and materiality into a space. It has this light, airy quality that contrasts well with solid, heavier elements in Neo Art Deco. I wouldn’t be surprised if we start seeing more pieces like this pop up in the future.

So, this was just a glimpse into some of the pieces I’m loving right now and how I see the mix and match possibilities within Neo Art Deco. The style is all about combining the unexpected - luxurious materials, bold shapes, and artisanal details - to create something that feels both timeless and totally personal. It’s a great way to build a space that’s rich in character and elegance, all while keeping it fresh and modern.
